GO DEEP Excerpt #1

Ellora's Cave has an excerpt from Go Deep on their coming soon page, but I thought I'd post another one for some variety. Enjoy!

A standalone sequel to Go Wild.

Beth is the shy, dreamy type. No one guesses at the wild sexual thoughts she hides behind that quiet façade. She doesn’t even share her secret longings with her husband.

Gavin loves his wife, but he’s tired of living in a marriage in which neither he nor Beth reveal their true desires. When Gavin sees Beth’s response to an erotic bondage photo in her framing shop, he jumps at the opportunity to break through her barriers.

He accepts an invitation to a showcase match for the amateur hockey team he coaches during Wild Nights, the infamous winter festival during which “anything goes, nothing counts.” But he’s opened a sensual Pandora’s box—Beth has some surprises of her own. When she meets Eagle, a free-spirited Wild resident, she knows he’s the perfect man to help enact her erotic fantasies. And once they go deep, there’s no going back.

EXCERPT

The final touch was the mask. Once she put that on, she screwed up her courage to look at herself in the bathroom mirror. At the sight of her reflection, a surge of such fierce power rushed through her that she had to steady herself on the bathtub. The woman who stared back was an erotic work of art. She was sensual, stunning, alluring. She was someone else. Someone who didn’t jump at the sound of a quiet rapping on the door.

She was someone who sauntered to that door and opened it slowly, teasingly drawing out the moment.

Someone who didn’t recognize the man who faced her.

The man who must be Gavin scorched her body with a long, deliberate look from head to toe. Every part of her came to life under his scrutiny.

“Gavin?” Her voice sounded tinny to her own ears. “That’s you, isn’t it?”

He was dressed all in black and wore a black mask that covered the upper part of his face. He looked dangerous and very, very sexy. Her eyes drifted to his pants. Black leather. His shirt was made of softer material that clung to his muscles. He looked like a lethal cat burglar who planned to surprise some lucky lady in her bedroom and steal her jewels right after ravishing her.

She shivered at the fantasy.

“Let’s go,” Gavin said. His voice sounded lower, rougher than normal. And his tone left no room for anything other than obedience.

“Out there?” She shook her head in panic. “I don’t want anyone to see me.”

“Well, I do.” There was that tone again.

“Gavin, be reasonable. I mean, look at me.” She looked down at her chest, where darkened nipples pushed against the fabric. The sight gave her a wild pulse of excitement. She looked like someone in a movie. Or in a photograph. The photograph flashed into her mind. Her knees went weak.

“I’m looking. So will every man out there. They’ll all wish you belonged to them. But you don’t. You belong to me. Time to go.”

He opened his hand. A leather collar nestled in his palm. A collar just like the one…

She went faint. Gavin had seen the photograph. He knew all the dirty thoughts she’d had. All the air seemed to disappear from her lungs and the room blurred. Would he scorn her now? Shun her as she deserved?

“I’m going to put this on you now,” came Gavin’s stern voice, like a lifeline through her fog. “Once it’s on, you must do what I say. I wouldn’t want to have to use the leash, but I will if I have to.”

She shook her head quickly. She didn’t want a leash. Or maybe she did. Unbearable excitement pounded through her veins. He came close, his presence so overwhelmingly powerful she bowed her head to him. She smelled the spicy, rawhide scent of leather and felt his fingers on her skin. He turned her so her back was to him. Stiff, cool leather surrounded her neck. As soon as he fastened the collar, a strange feeling came over her. By marking her like this, wasn’t he assuming responsibility for her? Anything that happened after this, anything she did, would be his doing.

No one could blame her. Especially not…but she pushed the ghost away.

This was Wild Nights, and she was wearing a mask and a collar. Anything could happen and it would be all right. The sense of freedom intoxicated her.

“Who are you?” she asked him without raising her head, surprising herself with the question. Maybe she wanted the illusion to be complete.

Gavin ran his index finger along the lower edge of the collar, back to front, testing its tightness. Then he went lower, across the exposed skin between the collar and the netting. She wondered if he could feel the frantic beat of the pulse in her throat. He seemed more interested in the curve of her breast, following the plump flesh to the edge of her nipple. There, he scratched the nipple with his thumbnail.

A shivering, silvery feeling shot through her. Her tongue tingled and her whole body jerked in response.

Good God, where had that come from? She never jerked like that. She was always calm and cool, even in bed. But the person who had put on this outfit, the person who loved the feel of a collar around her neck, that person had jerked.

With his thumbnail, he drew a line along the edge of the corset to her other nipple. She held her breath, bracing herself for the thumbnail, but instead he squeezed the nipple between his thumb and forefinger. Squeezed and rolled until a sound ripped from her throat that she’d never heard before, never even imagined. A sensual, guttural, needy sound.

Still squeezing her nipple, he leaned close to her ear and said hoarsely, “I’m your master. The master of your body. Everything here is mine. And I intend to use it exactly as I please. Understand?”

Her senses whirling, she nodded.

“As your master, I demand one thing you cannot deny me.”

“Wha… What?”

He tightened his hold on her nipple, plucking it until she cried out. With his other hand he pulled her against his body. She felt his aroused shaft against her ass.

“This. Your response. You are forbidden to hold anything back. Anything. I want your cries, your moans, your screams, your curses, I want to hear it all.”

Storm-dark eyes demanded her response. In bed, when he got that look, she knew there was nothing for it but to bend over, spread her legs, whatever it was he’d demanded. Ecstasy always followed. Lars knew how to touch her like no one else, knew what she liked, what she needed.

But he didn’t know everything.

“You’re trying to put me in a box,” she said, loud enough to surprise a magpie in the woods. It fluttered to a higher branch.

“How? Why?” He actually looked mystified.

“You’re telling me who to fuck, and how, and when, and why. I don’t want a ‘why’, Lars! I want to fuck who and when I want. For whatever reason.”

“Katia, I know you’re a wild child. I know you like sex in all sorts of different ways. That’s one of the things I love about you.” He dropped his ski poles and pulled her toward him, thrusting his thigh between her legs. An instantaneous, irresistible urge to rub herself against him took over. She pictured his thigh naked, each massive muscle perfectly defined and sleek. On its own, her groin ground into him.

His eyes lit with fierce satisfaction. “See that? You’re just as crazy about me as I am about you.” He planted his hands on her ass, then manipulated her up and down against his leg until she moaned. “You can’t run from what we have.”

She tore herself away, stumbling because of her skis. He grabbed her so she wouldn’t fall. “Stop that.”

He came after her, intent and relentless. The sexy bastard knew what he did to her. Knew how to keep her coming back for more.

“Look, Lars. This isn’t going to work.” She scrambled for the right words. “I can’t marry you. The answer is no.”

His eyes flickered, but other than that he didn’t look one bit daunted. He kept coming at her. “Why? Because of Jimmy?”

“No! Well, sort of.” She shook him off, and this time he let her ski a few yards down the path before he stopped her.

“Sort of? What the fuck does that mean?”

“It means the answer is no. I can’t marry you.” She said the words as firmly and clearly as she could. It hurt like surgery, but it had to be done.

Lars rubbed a ski glove across his forehead, leaving a streak of white. She longed to brush it off, but stopped herself short. She couldn’t do this if she touched him. Touching him made her lose her senses. “Is it Wild? Living in Alaska? The cold?”

“No, none of that,” she said, taken off guard. “I like it here. No one’s telling you what to do or pushing you around. No one’s judging you. You can do what you want.”

The look of relief on his face tore at her heart. “I thought Alaska would drive you away from me.”

She shook her head. “No, it didn’t. It isn’t. It’s not Alaska.” A glance around the still woods gave her a quick vision of snow turning blue in the deepening dusk and velvety darkness settling among the trees. The beauty of it speared her heart. Leaving Lars would mean leaving Wild. She’d have to go back to the world of cities and her aimless existence.

Setting her jaw, she planted her ski poles and shoved off.

Of course, Lars chased her. “Then what? Give me an answer I can understand.” He slid next to her and they skied side by side. He had to keep brushing branches away with his pole.

”Oh, for God’s sake. Why do you have to be so persistent?”

“Because that’s who I am. I’m a competitor and I never give up.”

“This isn’t a race!” But she found herself skiing faster nonetheless.

“No, it’s more important than a damn race. I’ve never felt about anyone the way I feel about you. I thought you loved me.”

“I do. But I don’t want to be married.”

“Because marriage is a box.”

“Exactly.” Finally, he got it. Hope fizzed through her. Maybe they could just go back to how things were.

“You don’t mind it when I’m making you come three times in one night.”

“Of course I don’t.” The power of his body gliding next to her gave her the shivers.

“You don’t mind it when I tie you up and fuck you until you scream for mercy.”

“No. I love it!”

“But it’s not just sex. Everything feels right when I’m with you. When we’re together.”

“But we are together. That’s why I came here.”

“So why not get married? That’s what comes next when people feel the way we do.”

Katia’s eyes stung from the wind in her face, or maybe the realization that he didn’t get it, after all. Up ahead she saw their house. Lars’ house. The one she couldn’t stay at anymore. She stopped, panting, and waved a ski pole at him.

“Why can’t you leave things the way they are?”

“The hell with that.” He lifted her up with one hand on the back of her jacket, like a giant cat with its prey. “You want me right now, don’t you?”

“Yes! But you don’t understand.” Those last words came out as a wail as he clicked off the bindings on her skis. They clattered against each other as they fell to the snowy ground.

“Then make me understand.” He let her feet touch the ground again, but kept his grip on her parka. With a flick of his free hand, he unzipped her snowpants. The rush of cold air made her breath catch. He plunged his gloved hand between her legs. Tears sprang to her eyes as the rough friction of the performance leather, custom made for an Olympic champion, brushed against her clit. She went from zero to wildly aroused with one flick of his finger.

“Oh god, Lars. You’re killing me,” she moaned. The underbrush rustled as some tiny alarmed creature scurried to safety.

She writhed against the leather at her crotch, but his hand kept dancing away. The warmth of it radiated through the glove. His refusal to move against her the way she craved drove her right to the edge.

And he knew it, the bastard.

My Three Lords - Official Excerpt

An Excerpt From: MY THREE LORDS
Copyright © JUNIPER BELL, 2010
All Rights Reserved, Ellora's Cave Publishing, Inc.

“I make you two promises, Alicia. The first is that I shall not take your maidenhead. Only one man may do so, and that is your husband. The second is that tonight you will experience more pleasure than you’ve ever imagined, thanks to me. If the Earl were here tonight, you’d receive no gentle caresses, no stroking such as I intend to give you. Your nipples would be left untouched, save for a rough tweak or two. Whereas I intend to savor their sweetness and watch them stand to attention like pink sentinels of your desire.”

Pinned as if I were a helpless butterfly, I lost myself in the soothing cadence of his speech. I became aware of the heat and strength of his body, and an unfamiliar tingling in my belly.

“You may think you prefer the Earl, but you’d regret it deeply. Your deflowering would be painful rather than pleasurable. Harsh rather than sweet. Such an event in a young girl’s life should bring tears of joy along with the tears of pain. That is what I offer, and the Earl, cognizant of your best interests as well as his own, has allowed me to provide this service. Do you understand?”

I nodded, and when he didn’t respond, whispered, “Yes.”

“Then come. Rise now.”

The weight lifted off me and he helped me to my feet. When I stood facing him, I saw a look such as I’d never seen on his jaded face before. He looked almost tender. Slowly, gently, he traced the skin along the edge of my loosened stays. I felt a prickling in the tips of my breasts. When I looked down at myself, my nipples were just as he said, pink and standing up under the layers of undergarments. He hooked his finger in the busk between my breasts. My breath caught.

“I won’t proceed further unless I have your full consent. Despite my reputation, I am not in the habit of forcing my attentions on unwilling girls. I must know that you accept what I’m offering you, fully and completely.”

His black gaze seared into me, as if he could see all the hidden corners of my soul. And perhaps he could, because God help me, I wanted the things he’d promised, and more. I wanted to lie down on the bed and roll myself in the bedclothes, or strip off my chemise and run outside under the stars. I didn’t fully understand what was happening to me. My body felt heavy and yet light at the same time.

“I do,” I whispered. “I accept.”

His eyes glittered in the candlelight. I felt dizzy. For a moment, I was back in the barn at home, caught with a goatherd’s hand hovering over my breast. I’d looked up in alarm at the sound of soft laughter. The sight of the Marquis’ delighted, mocking smile had turned me to stone.
There had been another feeling as well, a charge in the air that had made my skin prickle.
I felt it again as his eyes deliberately consumed my body, top to toe. Under my eyelashes, I performed an inspection of my own. The Marquis was not a bad-looking man, slender of build, perhaps a head taller than myself. As always, he was dressed in the height of fashion, with an embroidered cream waistcoat and a splendid coat of dark blue superfine that fit him to perfection. He always appeared to be mocking the world around him, but over the years I had on occasion seen him perform small kindnesses that surprised me.

“There has always been a special feeling between us, has there not?” As he spoke, he deftly removed my stays until I stood in nothing more than my chemise. I shivered at his nearness. Not for the first time, I thought what a powerful man he was, not in physique but in presence…a powerful man inclined to darkness.

He picked up a candle and slowly walked around me, shining its light on my body. The warmth from the candle paled in comparison to the penetrating weight of his gaze. I fixed my eyes on the pretty dressing table on the far side of the room. I counted five silver-backed brushes and considered attempting to count the individual bristles to distract myself from the strange feelings stealing over me.

A gentle touch on my posterior made me start. His hand cupped my bottom and warmth flooded my being. How could such a simple touch create such an uproar within me? With a firm hand and wandering fingers, he stroked my flesh. I felt the back of my chemise inch up my legs. The feel of his fingertips roaming across the backs of my thighs was so exquisite, I closed my eyes so the pleasure would continue.

“Ah no, my dear, you are not allowed to close your eyes. I want you to fully comprehend that it is I, the dreaded Marquis de Beaumont, who is bringing you this enjoyment. Whose hands are now stroking your tender buttocks?”

Tendrils of fire seemed to spread across my bottom as he quickened his touch. “Yours,” I gasped.

“And who intends to remove this interfering chemise from your body?”

My throat became suddenly parched. If he removed my chemise, I would be naked before the most notorious rake in England. “You,” I whispered. “But, please…”

“Yes?” His fingers danced up the curve of my spine and my belly seemed to quiver in response. Cool air caressed my back as he drew up the chemise. “Ah, so lovely. I’ve waited a very long time for this moment.”

I clutched the front of it to my chest. My head was such a confusing swarm of thoughts, I didn’t know what I wanted to say. Please continue. Stop this instant. The two opposite impulses battled in my mind. “Why me?” I managed. “Why a long time?”

“Why you?” My question did not make him pause in his intrusions on my body. Every inch of exposed skin drew a caress or a pat from his relentless, curious, knowing hands. Every touch sent a cascade of shivers across my flesh. “I’m sure you don’t remember, but you first caught my eye as a girl dashing after your brothers. You ran directly into me, like a Spanish bull into a cape. I have been accustomed to find myself a figure of fright for young girls. But you seemed to have no fear of me. I plucked you off the ground and held you high. You looked back at me with those frank eyes of yours, whose color I find no words for, somewhere in the mysterious realm between gray and blue, and you said, quite simply, “You were directly in my path. You will please to put me down now.” And so I did, and watched, bemused, as you raced away to join your brothers. At that moment I knew you were an unusual girl.”

By this time he was in front of me, loosing my hands from their grip on my chemise. I looked up at him and found myself surprised by a hint of softness in his usually sharp eyes.

“This chemise,” he told me softly, “can hide nothing from me. I know your soul, ma chérie, perhaps better than you do yourself. You desire things you cannot name. You sense it in the springtime air, the moonlight over a stream, the scent of lilacs in the sunshine. The world promises you something just beyond your senses, something you cannot grasp, simply because you don’t yet know how. I will show you how, my dear."

Nicole Austin's "Kenna's Cowboy"

I'd like to welcome Ellora's Cave author Nicole Austin to my blog! Her 19th release, Kenna's Cowboy, is out today, and I get to share the hotness with a excerpt. This book is part of a 5 book series she's written with Ellora’s Cave authors TJ Michaels, Ciana Stone & NJ Walters.

BLURB

Cursed with unusual abilities, orphan McKenna Fulton has always been different, an outcast. But she’s been Chosen.

More accurately, she is one of the Chosen. Eight individuals—four women and four men—selected at birth to guard slices of crystal. The Heart of Fire.

The whole thing is more than a little farfetched. Kenna can handle the part of getting down and dirty with the bad dude. She’s even okay with guarding a crystal. But losing her free will and being stuck with some guy, her destined mate, uh-uh. Not happening.

Local mechanic Ryker Thomas is more than he appears and has his own set of abilities. Kenna wants nothing to do with the southern charmer. So what if he has a matching crystal and the damn things hum and vibrate whenever they’re close together. That doesn’t mean she’ll toe the line.

He can’t be the one she’s supposed to be with. Fate wouldn’t be so cruel as to send her a cowboy when what she wants is a bad boy.

Excerpt:

“Kiss me, cowboy.”

Ryker had every intention of fulfilling Kenna’s request and then some. He’d wanted to get to know the strong, enigmatic woman since her first day in town. She’d managed to keep her distance but not anymore. Now that he had her all to himself, he had no intention of letting go.

His hands slid around her waist and he pulled her soft curves against his solid frame. God, she fit him just right. Built like a brick house—tall, curvy and stacked—she was perfect. Full tits cushioned his chest almost as sweetly as her soft belly nestled the length of his aching cock.

With the first brush of their lips she purred and melted into him. Her lips parted in silent invitation, testing his resolve to go slow. He traced the pouty shape of her lush pink mouth, instantly addicted to her spicy cinnamon taste. It suited her, as did the dark, tough-chick clothes she wore.

Kenna was no fragile rose to be kept sheltered and there was nothing tentative in her kiss. She met his lips head on, her fierce passion draining all the blood from his thinking head and funneling it straight to his randy dick. Her tongue shot past his lips, delving and tasting, driving his hunger higher. He followed as she retreated only to have her suck on his lower lip and snap his control.

Following the curves of her ass, he cupped the firm cheeks and gave her a quick squeeze before grasping her thighs. As he lifted, she wrapped those gorgeous legs around his waist, hooking her ankles and holding on tight. He groaned and she drank down the sound as he set her on the fender of Joey’s car, freeing his hands to explore.

Kenna devoured him, plain and simple. She sucked on his tongue and he had no trouble picturing her on her knees showing such avid attention to his cock. Her hands got in on the act, first gripping his shoulders then moving lower, flowing over his chest as if she were blind and reading his body by Braille.

“Oh shit. You’re bleeding.” She went from feeling him up to ripping at his shirt. Two strong tugs and the material gave, splitting down the middle.

Bleeding?

Ryker glanced down, trying to figure out what she was going on about. A dark red stain marred the tattered blue material. He hadn’t taken part in the fight, didn’t feel any pain, so how the hell could he be bleeding?

She grabbed the braided leather around his neck and tossed the pendant over his shoulder. “Keep that away from me.”

Why the hell did she have against his necklace? She wore a strikingly similar one. Not that it mattered when the fingers stroking every inch of his chest into a frenzy almost distracted him from the genuine concern in her big violet-colored eyes.

Jesus! He couldn’t remember the last time someone worried about him. Kenna also looked fighting mad, ready to tear apart anyone stupid enough to have caused him harm.

His heart turned over in his chest and pounded a wild rhythm against his ribs. Ryker caught her hands and brought them to his lips, kissing her knuckles with reverence. “I’m fine. It’s not my blood, darlin’.”

Kenna looked deep into his eyes for the space of several stuttered heartbeats then thrust her fingers into his hair, unseating his hat. She tugged, pulling him into a punishing kiss. They were both panting for air when they surfaced sometime later.

The loud slap of her palm connecting with his face echoed through the garage. Ryker rubbed at his stinging cheek and glared. “What the hell was that for?”

“Don’t you ever scare me like that again!”

Damn, she had a lot of spunk. And the fierce protective gleam in her eyes—what a fucking turn-on. His cock jerked against the painful constriction of his jeans in agreement. While he was dying to plunge deep inside Kenna, he wouldn’t be rushed. Not with her. This was too important to screw up. “I’ll try my best, darlin’.”

The primitive instinct to claim and mark this woman as his was nearly overpowering his desire to give her more pleasure than she’d ever known. Deep down an inner conviction assured him they had a lifetime ahead of them but it didn’t ease his driving need to fuck her senseless.

“You have too many clothes on.”

“Mmm…so do you, cowboy.” Her lascivious smile had the same effect as a mainlined shot of pure adrenaline. “How about shucking those jeans.”

His cock throbbed and his jeans sported a wet spot. Ryker wasted no time toeing off his sneakers, peeling away both his jeans and briefs in one swoop, then shrugging off the tattered remains of his shirt. He pulled a foil packet from his pants pocket and held it in his hand.

“Your turn.”

Training the Receptionist: Adult Excerpt #2

He pulled my nipples again, hard, and again my body arched back against him. I felt his erection press against my ass. The thought that I’d given Simon that hard-on made me even more excited. I wanted him to ravage me with it. Grind it deep. I squirmed and panted, but he wouldn’t let me get closer to his cock.

Instead, he kept pulling at my nipples. Something drummed deep inside me. Every time he squeezed my breasts, the hot drumbeat grew stronger. He seemed to have utter control over what was going on inside me. I tried to get a grip on myself. What was I doing here, how did I end up half-naked, those magic hands governing my nipples?

An excitement so intense I thought I might explode made me forget anything but the feelings growing inside me. I forgot about controlling myself, about being professional, about anything except the pleasure overwhelming my senses. I gave in to it. I had to. My body bucked helplessly. Everything went blurry. I didn’t know where I was any more. I didn’t know who I was.

And then…

He let go of me, and I staggered back against him. For a horrible moment a black hole opened in front of me, a hole in which there was no Simon and no satisfaction. No excitement, no mystery. In that one instant I knew nothing was going to be the same. I had to stay out of that dark place, no matter what it took.

I whimpered pitifully and turned my head to plead with him silently. I put my hands to my breasts and lifted them up toward his mouth. Did I care if I was begging? Hell, no. I’d have crawled on the carpet if it got him to touch me again.

“Want more?”

“Yes.”

“Yes, what?”

Yes, you gorgeous mother-effer. “Yes, please.” I said as politely as I could with my wobbly voice. “Boss,” I added, for extra points.

“Your hands are supposed to be behind your head, remember?”

Oops. I scrambled to get the hair back up onto my head, but he stilled my hands.

“Never mind that now. Go stand by the window.”

My throat closed on a squeak of protest. Sure, we were on an upper floor, but what about the people in the building across the street?

“Go.”

I went. Apparently I had no ability to resist a command from Simon. When I reached the picture window, I stopped. I saw no movement in the offices across the way. Glancing nervously down at the street, all I saw were the oblivious tops of people’s heads.

“Put your hands on the glass.” His voice right behind me made me jump, but also made me unbearably happy.

Gingerly, I did what he said, spreading my arms wide as though hugging the glass. My sweaty hands slipped a little on the smooth surface.

“The bad news is I’m afraid I have to punish you. The good news is I’m going to make you come. Are you okay with that?”

With which? Or both? Did I deserve to be punished? Did it matter? My pussy was throbbing with anticipation. Of the punishment or the orgasm or both, I wasn’t sure.

I gave a little nod. Next thing I knew I felt a sharp slap on my ass. The fabric of my skirt protected me, but didn’t stop the heat slamming into my groin like a cruise missile. I squirmed and whimpered. Another slap made me groan. Another flurry of whacks peppered my behind. By the time he stopped, I was panting and so turned on I could have come right there against the glass. Simon caressed my ass, and for one dizzy moment I thought he was about to pull up my skirt and fuck me.

No such luck.

Instead he brought his hands around to my front, to my nipples. It seemed like forever since he’d touched my tits. I eagerly thrust forward into his hands.

“I thought you might like to know that the guys in the law firm across the street have binoculars permanently aimed at our office.”

Oh God. I started to jerk away, but his hands closed on my nipples and my body was no longer mine to command.

He must have licked his fingers, because when their cool slickness flicked my breasts, my body reacted like a neutron bomb. Two hard pinches, fingers tugging at my aching nubs, and a mind-blowing orgasm burst over me. Everything went black and red. I was like a little rowboat capsized by a giant wave of pleasure. My body jerked and twisted, totally out of control. I forgot everything, the office, the lawyers across the street, my punishment. The intense waves kept coming and coming the more he pulled at my nipples. I tried to get away from those maddening fingers, but he wouldn’t allow it. Instead, he stayed with me, his strong fingers tight on my flesh.

“Let yourself go, don’t fight it,” he murmured in my ear. The two of us rode it out as I shrieked and shuddered from the intense orgasm.

When it was over, I felt dazed, like I was coming out of a coma. Simon held me up, which was a good thing, because otherwise I would have slid to the floor like a deflating blow-up doll. Sweat cooled on my skin. My heart still raced at about ten times its normal speed. I have to admit, I was a little freaked. How could he make me come just by spanking me and playing with my nipples? I mean, is that normal? My body loved it, but my mind had a few questions. One in particular.

“Are you serious about the lawyers?”

“No. That building is empty. I wanted to see how you’d react. I’m quite pleased.” He stroked the damp skin of my stomach.

Well, goody for me. Sanity started to return like a cold shower. I stared down at the carpet, chewing on my bottom lip. Reality’s a bitch after something like that. I mean, I’d just had the most intense orgasm of my life…thanks to my brand new boss. What now? Even though I hadn’t read the employee manual (if there even was one), I was pretty sure it didn’t deal with proper post-orgasm procedure. What is the appropriate thing to say? “Thanks, that was great, you’ve got a call holding on line two?”

Luckily, Simon took charge. He briskly put my clothes back on me, including the jacket, and turned me toward the door. “Excellent start. A few areas to work on.”

Huh? I gaped at him like I was mentally challenged. A good orgasm does that to you. Turns your brain to marshmallow fluff.

The blonde woman cried out in agonized pleasure as her orgasm notched back up again to its original potent blast.

Genevieve must have whimpered in mixed misery and arousal, because suddenly Sean’s head whipped around.

The woman continued to keen and moan while she gushed in climax, and Sean pinned Genevieve with his stare. His fierce, blue-eyed gaze hit her like a bolt of electricity. Her muscles jerked, the harsh movement awakening her from her trance.

The next thing she knew, she was flying blindly down the hallway. She heard him call out to her, his voice sounding flat with incredulity. He called out again, this time sounding closer . . . too near for her to make it all the way to the front door without him overtaking her.

She thought she might shatter into a million pieces if Sean put his hands on her at that moment. She fumbled for the master bedroom door and rushed inside.

“Genny. What the hell—”

His exclamation was cut off when Genevieve slammed the door and swiftly turned the lock. The handle jerked. His hand thumped on the door. She pressed her back against the wood, straining to hear in the taut silence that followed.

“Genny.”

She clamped her burning eyes shut at the softly uttered plea. It must be a hollow-core door, because she could actually hear him quite well. It sounded like he’d spoken with his forehead pressed against the crack between the door and frame. They were only inches apart—

“You picked a hell of a time to come waltzing back into my life,” he said, his low voice vibrating with emotion.

“I didn’t know you’d be here.”

“Obviously.”

She licked her tear-spattered lips. For the first time, she realized her face was soaked. She must have been crying for a while now . . . maybe since she’d first heard Sean’s easy drawl resounding from the depths of the penthouse.

“Go away, Sean.” Her heart thundered in her ears in the pause that followed. The door gave slightly, as though he’d just pushed himself off it.

“I was here first.”

“You can go straight to hell second, boy.”

His chuckle sounded appreciative . . . amused.

Sad.

“Just give me a minute to tell her good-bye.” For a second, she thought he’d walked away, but then his deep voice penetrated the crack of the door again.

“Are you okay? Did something happen?”

She stared at the enormous king-sized bed in front of her—the bed where the three of them had become drunk on pleasure three years ago.

Did something happen? She’d say it had.

Genevieve had been forever changed on the night Max had offered his young wife to his super-sharp, second-hand man . . . the night she’d burned beneath Sean’s touch.

“I’m fine,” she said blankly, her eyes glued to the bed as vivid memories played before her mind’s eye . . . memories brought to the forefront by being in the room where it’d all happened.

“Yeah, right,” she heard him reply wryly.

“Will you just leave me alone?”

“That’s likely.”

This time, she sensed for certain that he’d walked away. A minute later she still hadn’t moved. They passed within feet of her.

“You’re acting very rudely,” the woman accused petulantly as she moved down the hallway.

“Yeah, I’ve been told I have a problem with that,” Sean replied evenly.

“Is there someone here? Who were you talking to?”

But then their voices faded. She heard the front door open and shut, and knew Sean was escorting the female out of the tight Sauren-Kennedy Solutions security. He’d get her a cab. He may have grown up poor, friendless, and fatherless, one of the ‘conduct disordered’ terrors of the mean streets of New Orleans, but Sean’s manners were impeccable.

Genevieve still hadn’t moved when he returned a few minutes later. She stood stock-still, her back against the door like she thought she was on the penthouse’s window ledge with the city looming below her toes. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the handle turn. He spoke softly again near the crack in the closed door.

“You’d better open up, girl. You don’t really think that excuse of a lock is gonna keep me from you, do you?”

Her pulse threatened to leap right off her neck. She’d never heard him call another female gull, his drawl softening the “r” until it was only barely audible.

The sound of it on his tongue had always felt like a caress.

She spun around and flipped the lock. Her gaze remained fixed on the carpet as she stormed past him. She grabbed the bag she’d dropped in the foyer and reached for the handle on the front door. His hand rose behind her, shutting the door with a precise snap.

“What happened?”

“What makes you think something happened?” she asked irritably. She was hyperaware of him just inches away, leaning down over her. Heat resonated off his body.

“Don’t, Genny. Haven’t you punished me enough by avoiding me all this time? You know I’d never have wanted you to see what you just saw. Not in a million years.”

Her soughing breath was the only thing that broke the silence that followed. Her chin dropped to her chest.

She did know it. She may have her doubts about him, but she knew instinctively Sean Kennedy would never purposefully hurt her.

The havoc he’d wreaked unintentionally on her life was another matter altogether.

Training the Receptionist: Adult Excerpt

No cover yet for "Training the Receptionist," but I've got a blurb and a hot excerpt to share.

It’s her naughty dream job—if they’re satisfied with her performance…

Eager to escape her miserable existence in Low-Life, Long Island, street-wise Dana Arthur jumps at an entry-level position with the consulting firm Cowell & Dirk. As her training period begins, she quickly discovers she’s required to do more than take messages and order office supplies. Her job description contains some deliciously naughty duties that give receptionist a whole new meaning.

Simon has almost given up on finding the right woman who will please his clients as well as his demanding partner and mentor, Ethan Cowell. No one measures up—until Dana. Her inner fire and fearless nature are perfect for the job. No matter what wicked punishment he devises to chastise her for her on-the-job mistakes, she accepts with a relish that leaves him wondering which one of them is really in control.

The last thing he expects to discover is that she’s a perfect sexual soul mate he can’t bear to share. But share he must—it’s part of his business agreement. Unless he makes Ethan the deal of a lifetime…

Warning: This title contains explicit sex, bondage, ménage, ingenious use of office furniture, lingerie, and the occasional sex toy. Oh, and did I mention the package delivery guy?

ADULT EXCERPT

Simon stood at the wall-to-ceiling picture window that looked out over the depressing downtown. His jacket was off, hands in his pockets. I stopped just inside the door. When I closed it behind me, I felt a strange sense of safety. As if anything could happen inside this beige space and it would be okay.

“You can take off your jacket now,” he said without turning around.

My heart seemed to jump into my throat. Every nerve ending in my body stood at attention. I opened my mouth to say something snappy, but nothing came out. Instead, I slid one arm out of my jacket, then the other. Not sure what to do with it, I dropped it to the floor.

“Good. Now you can put your hands on your nipples.”

I didn’t move. I wasn’t sure I’d heard right. Besides, my heart was beating too fast. There was a long pause while we both stood still, me looking at his back, him looking out the window. Finally, he turned and gave me a mild stare.

“You’re not touching your nipples.”

I cleared my throat. “No.”

“I would imagine they’re in need of some contact right now. How do they feel? Aroused? Irritated?” His expression was one of concerned interest.

He had a point. “Like I want to jump out of my skin,” I admitted.

“Ah, I thought so. That’s why I suggested touching them. I certainly wouldn’t want you to jump out of that beautiful skin. Would you like to try it now?”

In the back of my mind, I wondered why we were talking about my nipples rather than proper phone procedure, or some other job-related issue. But his green eyes flickered over my body, scattering sparks of heat wherever they went, and before I knew it my hands rose to my tits. I put my fingers around my nipples. The heat of them surprised me. My poor nipples were burning up under there. How had he known it was exactly what I needed, to touch myself like that?

“Tighter,” came Simon’s soft, almost hypnotic voice.

I pressed tighter and felt the texture of the lace dig into my flesh. My breath caught and my face flushed. A jolt of heat zinged on a straight line from my nipples to my insides. Moisture sprang between my legs. Startled by my body’s reaction, I snatched my hands away from my nipples.

“Did I ask you to stop?” Simon sounded disappointed. Reproving. My hands jumped back to my breasts. “No, stop,” he said.

I stopped, hands hovering a few inches away from my breasts.

“I want to see what you look like now. Unbutton your blouse.”

What the F? Was my brand new boss really telling me to undo my blouse? And was I really on fire to do whatever he said? It kills me to admit it, but I couldn’t disobey him. Didn’t want to. He was leading me somewhere with that sexy voice. Somewhere I’d never been. Somewhere I wanted to go. I unbuttoned my blouse and drew it off my shoulders. I dropped it onto the floor, on top of my jacket. The stuffy office air felt cool against my skin.

“Beautiful,” said Simon, a note of approval in his voice. “Exactly how I’d pictured it on you. But your hair’s all wrong. It should be piled on your head. Do it.”

That last phrase came out stronger, more like an order. Without thinking, I filled my hands with my hair and pulled it to the top of my head. It felt thick and silky against my hands. I’d never been quite so aware of the feel of my hair before.

Simon walked across the office with deliberate slowness. When he got to my side, he walked around me. From behind, I felt his finger touch lightly on the back of my neck.

“Fascinating tattoo.” He seemed to realize it was still tender back there, because he didn’t linger on the tattoo. Instead he traced his finger along the side of my neck, down the rounded front of my shoulder, into the crevice between my breasts, creating a trail of fire wherever he touched. Then he delved under the lace of the teddy. Unbearable excitement filled me as he lifted my nipple away from the fabric.

“Mm,” he said noncommittally as he examined my nipple. He reached around my back and brought the other one out of its nest. His body, strong and smelling of some kind of jet-set aftershave, pressed against me. In the office window, I saw our reflection. His intent face bent over my shoulder, his hands at my front, tugging at my nipples. Me in a provocative teddy and tight hobble skirt. The sight added to my excitement and I leaned back against him. “You’ve had an interesting morning, haven’t you?” He murmured in my ear. “Look how these juicy little morsels swelled up. I bet that lace teased you hard, didn’t it? Rubbed up against you like a rough little kitten tongue. I thought about you all morning, thought about these breasts stirring under your blouse. Thought about how wet it must be making you. Thought about how your nipples would feel against my hands, all hard and excited and…”

A spasm shook my body. It shocked me. What was happening to me? It was as if he had suddenly acquired ownership of the body that had previously been mine. I was dancing to his tune, singing at his command.

"Falling Star" by Olivia Brynn

Time to welcome another fabulous author friend, Olivia Brynn! Falling Star is coming out this Monday, December 7 from Liquid Silver Books. I've been looking forward to it for a while! Here's a little bit about it:

Falling Star - Blurb

Adam Nash is a superstar. House, cars, money, women … he’s got it all. Yeah, he’s conceited, but with his looks and talent why shouldn’t he be? Not until he’s banned from another hotel for his drunken antics does he realize that it’s time to grow up and treat his music as a career and not a free ride. Now Adam has set his sights on florist Jade Graham. She’s not the kind of woman he’s used to, she’s too smart to play the role of arm-candy. Adam is going to have to keep his celebrity status a secret for as long as possible, because what woman in her right mind would get attached to a playboy without a conscience? Jade Graham is going to be one tough case, but she seems hell bent on proving that there is more than one way for a star to fall.

And here's an Excerpt:

“Good morning, Earth Scents.”

“Is this Jade?” Adam smiled. He recognized her voice, of course it was her.

“It is. Who is this?”

“My name is Adam. You sold me some lilies last week.”

His grin only widened at the pause. Probably as soon as he walked out of her shop that day, she figured out who he was. He’d just given her his first name, and now she was too flustered to speak.

“I apologize sir, but I sell a lot of lilies, and I couldn’t possibly remember each order. Was there a problem with your bouquet?”

You’ve got to be kidding. So he really was going to have to go through with this charade. On to plan B. “No Jade. Nothing was wrong with the flowers. She especially liked the teddy bear.”

She laughed. Adam could almost see the bright smile through the phone. “I’m glad she liked them. Is ... was there ... I’m sorry ... Adam. Your name just doesn’t ring a bell.”

“I don’t think I gave you my name, I apologize.” And you didn’t ask, he added silently. Seriously, this was getting a little ridiculous.

“Well, I appreciate the call sir. I hope you’ll think of us the next time you need to spread a little sunshine.”

Was she brushing him off? He stifled a laugh. “I assure you I will, but that’s not why I called.” Jesus she was making him work for this, wasn’t she? He purposefully waited to continue, just to irritate her a bit. “The lilies were such a hit, I wanted to take the florist out to celebrate.”

“Well now, if they were that big of a hit, she probably wouldn’t want you to celebrate with the florist.”

“I doubt my secretary would mind if I took you to dinner.”

“Oh,” she laughed. “I see. That’s ah...” Her voice faded.

He hadn’t been turned down by a female since seventh grade, but he had the feeling that was what was coming. “When do you close Earth Scents?”

“Mr. ... uh Adam, I haven’t agreed to dinner with you.”

Was he scaring her? “No, but you haven’t hung up on me yet either.”

“I’m at a disadvantage, here. When did you come in?”

Was he that forgettable? Even if his face wasn’t plastered all over every tabloid in the supermarket checkout line, he liked to think he was a fairly good-looking guy. “I’m trying very hard not to be offended that you don’t remember me. Maybe it was just because it was my first time in a flower shop.”

Another pause. “Oh! Yes, I remember now. I embarrassed myself when I assumed you were gay.”

Adam laughed. “That was me.”

“No, you didn’t give me your name.”

“Well, now you have it. Can I pick you up at home, or would you rather I stop by Earth Scents?”

“I don’t remember you as being this tenacious when you were in my shop.”

“You don’t remember me at all, so that’s not saying much.” Is this what the average man has to go through? “Look, it’s just dinner. I’ll even spring for dessert.”

He couldn’t believe he was bouncing his leg impatiently. Who cares if she turns him down? There was always that supermodel who gave him her phone number last week. Though at this particular moment he couldn’t remember her name. Really Adam. Who cares if she turns you down?

He cared. Probably just out of pride, but he cared.

“I’m not really dressed for a dinner date. I’m afraid I got in a fight with some foliage this afternoon and I’m covered in soil. By the time I get home and change...”

Okay, Plan C. “We can save the dress-up thing for another time. All I had in mind tonight was a greasy burger at a family restaurant, maybe a beer or two. No one will notice a little bit of dirt.” At her continued reluctance, he couldn’t believe he actually added, “Please?”

It worked. She laughed, and gave in. “Alright. I close the shop at six, should I meet you somewhere?”

“What kind of gentleman would I be if I didn’t pick you up?”

“Oh, so you’re a gentleman?” He could actually hear her smile in her words. Why that pleased him so much, he didn’t know.

“You bet your ass! Oh ... oops.” He tried to sound contrite, and was rewarded with another throaty laugh in his ear. Damn it was sexy.

“Well, kind sir, I have a customer so I have to bid you farewell. I’ll see you at six.”

“Good bye Jade.”

“Good bye Adam.”

He waited until the phone went dead before he hung up his phone. Well, Carley’s office phone. He didn’t want to give too much away. Not yet.

He grinned. This was going to be good. “Change of plans Carley,” he yelled through the open door. “Buster’s instead. Let the others know.” He’d let Carley tell Tyrell. That man hated any change in his organized schedule.

Carley walked back into the office, her footsteps muted on the plush grey carpet, but she couldn’t hide the stumble in her step. “Buster’s? You’re taking a woman to a ... chain restaurant?” Carley’s voice told him she was shocked, the look she gave him from behind those grandmotherly eyeglasses hinted at her question of his sanity.

“Is that a problem?”

“I ... I don’t know.” She patted the tight coiffure of silver curls, and adjusted her glasses. “I’ve never worked with them...”

“How hard can it be?” Adam leaned back in Carley’s coveted chair, folded his hands behind his head and shot her the cocky look that he knew irritated her to no end. Just for fun, he propped his crossed ankles on her desk. “They should jump at the offer. I’m bringing in fifteen tables, and I’ve been told I’m a pretty good tipper.” Maybe he’d have to add a family to his cast of players. Damn. There wasn’t time.

“That’s not it and you know it.” Carley stormed over and knocked his feet to the floor. “Marc’s restaurant is used to you high and mighty types. I’m not sure Buster’s is willing to close its doors for an hour so you can dine in peace.”

Adam stood, framed her lined face in his hands, kissed each cheek, and then sat her down in her chair that he’d just vacated so she could get to work on his project. “I trust you to work your magic. Buster’s off Huntington Drive at six.” He crossed the room, surprised when she didn’t bluster after him. “And Carley?” He turned in the doorway. “I’ll need at least three.”

He couldn’t decipher her grumblings, but he would put money on swear words. “Three what?”

“Three hours.” He winked, and then took off down the hallway before his words registered, and a stapler could fly at his head.

Wolf's Tender by Gem Sivad

I'm so excited to feature my friend and 2010 Eppie finalist Gem Sivad's new book Wolf's Tender on my blog! She's an amazing writer of historical Westerns. Wolf's Tender is her second book with Liquid Silver Books and it's coming out on Monday, November 16. I can't wait! Here's the blurb.

Blurb: Wolf’s Tender

Book One: in the Bounty Hunters series

Rough and tough Charlie Wolf McCallister knows he needs to get laid when even a spinster school teacher with a sharp tongue starts looking good to him. But, cad that he is, he operates on the philosophy that a bird in hand is better than no bird at all. And so he offers to trade service for—servicing.

When Naomi Parker's students are snatched from their school by marauding Comancheros, she can't believe that she hid like a coward and let it happen. The only way to ease her conscience, and get the girls home safely, is to hire half-Kiowa bounty hunter, Charlie Wolf McCallister. His price seems a bit steep to prim and proper Naomi, who must choose between her virtue and her students’ lives.

When one straight-laced spinster tenders her body to one cynical sometimes savage, the unexpected bounty is love.

And, as an extra bonus, here's an excerpt.

Excerpt: Wolf's Tender

“You’ve been following me all over town.” The woman didn’t even deny it, leaning toward him instead, patiently waiting as he took her measure—thin face with brown hair skinned into a tight knot, straight teeth, and nose spattered with freckles across burned skin. Deep exotic cornflower-blue eyes met his.

Charlie’s gaze came back to the eyes for a second look.

“My name is Naomi Parker.” If it weren’t for the unusual shade of her eyes, Miss Naomi Parker would be written off as old-maid material. She was a tall, skinny female, past the first flush of maidenhood, with prim and proper written all over her.

Not being a prize himself, nor considered civilized, he rarely came in contact with females of social standing, but he recognized one now. He intended to run this one off as quick as possible and get on with his bath. Knowing what he did of her kind, he didn’t think it would take much.

She held out her hand and for a moment he wasn’t sure what she wanted. Then he realized she intended it as a greeting. He grabbed the extended limb and pulled hard, rolling her down his arm, and into his embrace before she realized she’d been captured.

He pulled her against him, wrapping his arms around her like bands of steel, pulling her so close her chin brushed his bare chest. The contact sent a frisson of heat coursing through him which made no sense since her body was encased in iron, or at least something that felt like it.

“What the hell kind of contraption do you have on, Miss Parker?” His hands automatically fell to her hips, holding her against the swell of his erection, stealing a moment’s pleasure.

Accept for the slight mound of her breasts, she had the body of a fifteen year old boy—thin for his age—but a tall stripling. He noted all of this unconsciously, surprised that his cock had roused with fierce interest. Jesus, I need a woman.

His shirt and handkerchief were smashed between them. She tilted her head to glare at him as she struggled against his hold. Her hips moved in his hands and in her struggle, she accidentally rubbed against his arousal. She froze.

“Stupid to offer your hand to someone you don’t know,” he admonished her even as he blatantly rubbed his swollen flesh against her hip.

Her breasts that were, as near as he could tell, about the size of robin’s eggs, were nevertheless heaving, and she was pissed not scared, as he stared into eyes that had darkened. He wondered what color they would be when she came, and then flinched at the thought.

Jesus, all pussy’s the same in the dark. What the hell difference if she’s a dried up old prune. His cock demanded, Fuck her.

Old maid material or not, his cock was erect and urging him to make friends.

“You’re lucky you survived the raid. Think about that, instead of wallowing in guilt, and let the law take care of your friends.”

He had a cigar and the rest of a bottle of good whiskey waiting for him and minutes before he’d thought that was enough.

He’d meant to scare her away so he could climb into that tub of hot water while it still had some steam coming from it. Instead he had a woman wrapped in his arms and his body seemed determined to keep her. His cock said this woman could service him just fine—and she could do it now.

It was pleasing the way she fit up against him, hip to hip, thigh to thigh. His first assessment that she was skinny, gave way to new knowledge. She was a slender armful, her softness hidden under the iron casing she’d wrapped around her flesh. The thought of her long white legs sliding around his hips while he sank into her, filled his mind.

He let his thoughts play over the impossible possibilities for a second, before he let her go, allowing inches between them and dropping his hand that had been stroking her back.

“I’m planning on being in that tub of water in two minutes, naked as the day I was born, whether you get out of here or not.”

He released her abruptly, expecting her to hurry from the barn. Instead, she continued the connection between them, pressing her body against his, her unwavering blue eyes staring up at him. Her lips trembled for a moment, and then she repeated her request.

“I need your help.”
